Former CEO of Gox (closed cryptocurrency exchange), Mark Karpeles, risked being sentenced to a 10-year sentence by the court for allegedly stealing $3 million in the cryptocurrency exchange hack attack. In the criminal case, which started a while ago, it was announced that the crypto money exchange’s stealing 850 thousand Bitcoins was unacceptable, some precautions were not taken well enough, and accordingly the critical problems experienced by the crypto money exchange ended with a hack attack.
Court judge, Mt. Gox’s (closed cryptocurrency exchange) former CEO, Mark Karpeles, started the judicial process with a request for a prison sentence of up to 10 years as a separate file in the case file, alleging that he embezzled $3 million in cryptocurrencies.
