Mobile payments company Uphold announced today that it has completed the integration of its XRP ledger to the platform and customers can now have their XRP wallet addresses directly through the app. Customers can send, deposit, and withdraw XRP tokens via the app to different wallets, rather than operating as an affiliate.
Company’s chief Robin O’Connell stated that this is an important milestone for the company.
In Uphold, which was founded in 2013, approximately 8 million transactions have been carried out worldwide to date. Customers at the company, which holds $135 million in digital assets in its reserves, generated nearly $3.5 billion in trading volume.
Meanwhile, XRP is trading at $0.63, up over 4 percent in the last 24 hours.
