Akbank Establishes Electronic Money and Payment Company: AkÖde

One of the leading banks in our country, Akbank has announced that it will establish an electronic money and payment services company. According to the statement made by the bank to the Public Disclosure Platform (KAP), Akbank will focus on payment services with a company called AkÖde.

12 million ₺ capital

Akbank’ AkÖde, which will be 100% owned by AkÖde, will be established with a capital of 12 million TL, according to the information shared by the bank. You can find the statement made by Akbank to the Public Disclosure Platform below:

“Our Bank’s Board of Directors has announced that AkÖde Elektronik Para ve Dağıtım Hizmetleri A.Ş. to operate in Istanbul with the title of 12.000.000.- TL. The General Directorate was authorized to establish a new company in the status of a joint stock company with capital, to make the necessary applications for the establishment of the company, to obtain legal permissions and to perform all other transactions.”

In the last year Akbank’s Ripple It is said that the infrastructure of the new AkÖde project will be Ripple due to the agreement it has made with AkÖde.
